Health Food Chain Extends Its Loyalty Schemes And Card Loyalty Program

Holland and Barrett is increasing its card loyalty program and has bought an extra five million cards for its consumers.

The health food company had authorized a Macclesfield manufacturer to make a million cards for the loyalty schemes across 40 selected stores earlier this year.

The programme registered around 200,000 shoppers in the north and the midlands throughout a 19-week trial but this time the firm is rolling the scheme out nationwide. The company estimates that it will register 2.5 million customers to the system over the first full year.

The retailer loyalty cards and key fob cards will allow customers to provide them at the till to obtain points on their expenses. For every pound spent, the consumer will get four points which can be changed for coupons to make use of in-store.
